8 killed as bombing targets taxi in northeastern Nigeria

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — A blast focused on a traveler filled taxi in northeastern Nigeria's biggest city on Wednesday, killing eight individuals in the deadliest besieging there in a while, authorities said.

The National Emergency Management Agency said in an announcement that 15 individuals had been hospitalized with wounds.

Nobody promptly guaranteed obligation regarding the impact.

The impact happened as the taxi drew closer a corner store in the edges of Maiduguri. The assortments of casualties were sprawled on the ground beside the besieged out vehicle as authorities examined the region.

"Security has been reinforced at the scene of the blast," the crisis office's announcement said.
